Care Provider Profession
Before you can become a care provider professional you must agree to attend orientation trainings that assist you in understanding the field and give you the entry level skills you need to correctly assist these special need adults. Once your home is certified, trainings continue through the year and a minimum of twenty hours of continued education credits are required annually to keep your certification current.

Family Options provides all of the necessary training for Care Providers including:

  • Video Orientation via Zoom
  • Skills Development
  • Medication Class (renew every two years)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (renew every two years)
  • Adult CPR & First Aid (renew every two years)

Professional Team of Support

A team of professionals are provided to support you in meeting the needs of your client. Your support team includes many trained professionals. A case manager will guide you through the process and make sure you are in compliance with program guidelines. Other team members include a family therapist, a psychologist, a nutritionist, a nurse, and direct support staff to take your client on outings. There is a 24/7 emergency assistance program and monthly respite support is provided.
